Tacchini is more than a brand, it’s a style, it’s history. A part of Italian tennis history. But it is also a symbol of world tennis with its sportswear, the most seen brand on the tennis courts of the 80s. A real icon. The image that comes close to memory is the tangled hair of John McEnroe. Contained by that red band and the white and blue shirt with the iconic “T”.
The number of champions who, over the years, have chosen to take to the courts sporting the legendary “T” is indeed impressive. Some of the best-loved names in the sport, like Jimmy Connors, Vitas Gerulaitis, John McEnroe, Ilie Nastase, Pete Sampras, Goran Ivanisevic, Martina Higgins, Gabriela Sabatini and, more recently, Novak Djokovic. The exhibition of April 14th, 2019, at the Ballroom of the Monaco Yacht Club was dedicated to its 50 years.
